Marketing and Media Production



Hi! I'm Lisa Losasso Jackson and I'm excited to share some of my work as a professional and creative. I've had the privilege of building marketing campaigns, as well as producing media projects.

We Go Public

Since 2018, I've led the development of We Go Public, a statewide campaign that promotes public education. The marketing tactics includes a robust website with profile pages for almost 1,000 school districts, social media campaigns, events, and traditional media. Advocating for public education is critical in today's climate. Public school districts, who are a part of the campaign, weave We Go Public into their own efforts. In 2024, we partnered with Texas School Public Relations Association and powered the Celebrate Texas Public Schools campaign. The campaigns includes over 70 Independent School Districts who participate in coordinated efforts. For example, twice a month, We Go Public provides predesigned, customizable Canva social media posts. The posts focus on a topic and include copy in both Spanish and English. Together, all districts post on the same day to create a unified voice about public schools. Since fall 2024, we've reached 2.5M people.



Food and Nutrition

My background in marketing includes working for the Texas Department of Agriculture in the Food and Nutrition division where I led efforts to promote school meals. That work led to a path in marketing and nutriton within schools. I served as the Director of Integrated Marketing for Dairy MAX where I promoted concepts like MyPlate to schools and fostered engagement through a component of the NFL Play 60 program. The initiative created excitement for students around eating healthy and staying active. We worked with both the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans.



Independent Productions

Independent media projects include a digital animation focused on civic engagement for kids called Ballot the Dog which I hope to find additional production and distribution partners. I also produced a documentary with my husband that aired on Root Sports Southwest called, We Were the Oilers: The Luv Ya Blue Era. We're currently teaming up on an HBCU history project.

Probably one of greatest passion projects has yet to be produced as a full video and is in script development. However, I did produce a :30 trailer and designed a prototype for a cute stuffed toy as part of a future merchandise plan. The end goal is a full length digital animation or web-series.

In these times, marketing is a term that seems to be a catch-all for a lot of different promotional activities. My expertise includes:

Media

When it comes to media, I love all forms of video. Whether it's film, documentary, animation, commercial, or social media, video is where it comes together for me. In fact, one of my big goals in graduate school is to gain skills in actual video filming and editing. I got my first taste of it in Digital Storytelling where I created, shot, edited, and produced an entire documentary short. See some of my examples here.



Education

I began my undergraduate studies at Texas A&M and transferred to UT my sophomore year. In the fall of 2024, I started my master's to add to my professional skills and knowledge.
